Carolina Santizo Portillo
Born in Guatemala, Carolina is a promoter of ancient practices from native villages to heal and reconnect with our inner self. She was in development projects against poverty when she decided to study traditional medicine. Her journey comes from marketing and public administration, to naturopathy, Ayurvedic nutrition and the energetic use of the voice.
She started to learn about singing bowl therapy in Mexico and later she got certified by AtmaButi as a practitioner in 2015 and as a Teacher in 2022. In 2019, Carolina published the first Spanish edition of Suren Shrestha’s book: How to heal with singing bowls, with Sentient Publications LLC license.
She learned about Mayan cosmovision from Guatemalan Kiché elders since her childhood. She applies this sacred knowledge as well as the teachings from AtmaButi for people to abide in health and joy through sound. She lives in Mexico with her husband and two sons, where she gives individual bowl therapy, workshops and sound concerts.
